"I just wanted to say thank you for such a great race at the 2008 Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon. My sister and I raced the elite race and were very impressed with the event. The course, the organization, the professional staff and all the enthousiastic volunteers were incredible.

My boyfriend did his first Olympic distance at your race and he loved the level of competition, the safety and the 'smoothness' of it all. He was supposed to start training for the Boston Marathon in Sept, but he loved the experience so much he is planning on racing tris until November. Thanks again - we are all looking forward to next year."

The Apple Triathlon was my first Olympic distance race back in 1992. It remains, to this day, one of my favorites: held in a wonderful city, with great people, incredible scenery and with the generous support of the city, the people of Kelowna and the incredible volunteers. The National Team along with triathletes from all across Canada can't wait to get to Kelowna, enjoy the sunshine, spend some money!!!! and go home to rave about your wonderful home in the Okanagan.

I had a wonderful time at the triathlon, and really enjoyed my stay in Kelowna. I'm already looking forward to competing at the lake again in a few months. Thanks for sending me the medal- you made my day! I've never placed before, either in a running race or in a triathlon, so when I got home, checked the website, and discovered that I had earned a spot on the podium, I was quite thrilled.

I was at the Kelowna Triathlon this past weekend and just wanted to extend a sincere thankyou to the organizers and volunteers of the event. This was my 2nd Apple Triathlon (+ one rain out!) and both times I have been so impressed. Of the 30+ races I have done, including 3 World Championships, Kelowna remains my absolute favorite. The volunteers are second to none. They are all helpful, friendly, and just super!

WOW!!! Every so often your child meets up with some amazing mentors. Our 10 yr old daughter Rachel participated in the week long camp and then the race on Saturday!! This camp gave her a chance to learn the game of triathlon to every fine detail through the guidance of some pretty amazing adults who were so dedicated and unbelievably passionate about the sport of triathlon. Thank you so much coaches....this was an amazing week for a small town girl....who came to camp to have fun and ended up learning a whole lot about life and a sport she now LOVES!!!! The smiles said it all! We send you this thank you because it takes great people with leadership to put these opportunities for kids in motion. THANK YOU! See you next year!

I want to let you know that the event on the weekend was one of the best I've ever attended in Canada in more than 12 years of doing this. The Apple is the premier Olympic distance event in Canada. I hope you are as proud of the event, directors, volunteers, and success as I am to have played a role at it.

Your directors and hundreds of volunteers are all first-rate. I have heard countless positive comments from athletes, coaches and officials about how excellent the event was, how helpful the volunteers were, and how much they enjoyed being in Kelowna for a few days in August. Everyone has said they will be back. Please pass my congratulations and thanks on to everyone.

I just wanted to drop a quick note to thank you and all the board of directors for such a great triathlon weekend. My son Joey competed once again in the KOS race and for the first time participated in the KOS camp. I am always so impressed with the organization of the race and the great care given to the kids while on course. The camp was absolutely amazing!!! He learned so much and gained so much confidence both physically and mentally. So many thanks to all the coaches.

I also volunteered on Sunday and was a marshall on the bike course. I had such a great day! How much better can it get than to have a front row seat watching our Canadian National Team racing by on their bikes! Then I felt even more spoiled with all the food, drinks and water that kept being dropped off! My hat goes off to all of you once again for an incredible race. See you again in 2010!!
