b. I am a slow swimmer – am I going to be able to finish the race if I take longer than an hour?
The cut-off for the swim is 70 mins, as per TRIBC/TRICANADA rules. Our swim course has in the past had a somewhat unpredictable current. We have moved the swim course approximately 1 km North away from the bridge and into a bay that provides some protection from current. We have also changed our course to a smaller 2 lap swim course in order to keep swimmers closer to shore and further away from the current as well as to improve safety and spectator viewing.
c. Are wet-suits allowed?
Yes, as per TRIBC rules.
d. Why is there a time cut-off for the cycle course?
The City of Kelowna closes our bike course to vehicle traffic to maximize the safety for the racers. The roads need to be reopened to traffic as soon as possible.
e. Do I have to pay for the shirt?
We provide a free event T-shirt for all competitors who register before the late
registration date.
f. What type of sports drink will there be on the run?
Gatorade and water.
